How’d you get to where you are today, working at 435 Digital?
After graduating from Arizona State I worked briefly at a Phoenix TV station, then accepted an online editor job at the Omaha World-Herald. I had been in journalism for almost three years, and it was time for a change. Chicago has always had a special place in my heart, and 435 Digital seemed like a great fit.
What is your favorite YouTube video?
Basically any Backstreet Boys music video ever made.
Who is your favorite person to follow on Twitter and why?
I follow @FeauxPelini (it’s a fake Bo Pelini account for the Nebraska Cornhuskers’ football coach) and the guy behind that account is hilarious. It’s all sorts of nonsensical commentary about sports, news, cat videos, etc. I love it to death, and I’m not even a Huskers fan.
What is your favorite thing about Chicago?
I’m a power walk nerd, so I love the Lakefront Trail. It’s flat, has great people watching, and if you get tired of exercising you’re never too far from ice cream.
What do you love about your role as a Content Producer at 435 Digital?
I like that I can apply my editorial background (writing, editing, meeting deadlines, etc.) to a marketing setting. Seeing the final product, be it a single blog post or whole new website, is always fun, too.
