Michael Halston

For more than 15 years, Mike has been helping Chicago area clients solve business problems with technology. He has worked with organizations large and small, in industries such as hospitality, financial, legal, manufacturing and business services as well as with many familiar consumer brands.

With a firm grasp on emerging digital marketing technologies and techniques, and an ear for identifying and addressing a client’s needs, his experience sets him apart from the crowd.

How’d you get to where you are today, working at 435 Digital?

Designing and executing advanced web marketing strategies is as a balance of art and science. While leveraging technology to solve business problems is a very rewarding endeavor, bringing that creative marketing challenge into the equation is intoxicating to me. The services offered by 435 Digital, and the opportunity to work with among the best web marketing practitioners in the business lured me in.

What is your favorite YouTube video?

My band appeared on the WGN Morning News around the turn of the century:

Who is your favorite person to follow on Twitter and why?

Wow, if I had to name one, I might say @ColonelTribune mostly due to how that character came to life and his sharp, eloquent wit.

What is your favorite thing about Chicago?

The city; its energy, architecture, layout, shoreline, history, tempo, and of course the people. Working in historic Tribune Tower is a particular thrill for me. In fact, my grandfather worked for Tribune when the Tower was built in 1925.

What do you love about your role as at 435 Digital?

I find it very gratifying to contribute to the success of a local business as much as a regional or national brand. From the initial needs and goals discussion to strategy design to results analysis, the process is fun and exciting, challenging, and very rewarding. I particularly enjoy the brainstorming phases of program development where we can challenge ourselves to creatively and effectively address business goals through web marketing. Two relevant quotes that resonate with me are “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” and “The great ones adjust.”
