In her role as Director of SEO at 435 Digital, Carolyn oversees and provides strategy for client services — SEO, PPC, Social Media, Content Marketing and Web Development.


During her 18 years in Internet-focused organizations, Carolyn Shelby has owned and run an Internet Service Provider, built one of the first online city guides on the Internet, developed online Continuing Medical Education (CME) courses, and shown small and large businesses alike the path to integrate existing, traditional marketing strategies with online marketing efforts to maximize impact and ROI.

Carolyn has had success in a variety of sectors of varying sizes including:

Carolyn hosted the SEO 101 Podcast for 3 years. Weekly episodes of the podcast were downloaded more than 50,000 times per month while it was in production.

She was named one of the Top 100 Marketers of 2009 by, and regularly speaks at domestic and international search industry conferences including Search Engine Strategies, Search Marketing Expo, and PubCon.
